Hi, I’m Leonardo Palagi, an Italian racing driver competing in Junior Rotax karting in the UK.
Â
I started my karting journey just two years ago, and since then, I’ve been working hard to improve my driving, gain experience and take every opportunity to move closer to my dream of racing at an international level.
I’m passionate about racing, but I know that success is about much more than speed.
Â
Every race is an opportunity to learn, develop my racecraft and become a stronger, more consistent driver.Â
Â
My Racing Journey
In a relatively short time, I’ve achieved some results that I’m proud of.
These include finishing third in the GX-UK Junior Final at GYG, setting the fastest lap and recording a 50.95-second lap record. I’ve also achieved multiple heat wins in GX-UK and finished third in the NKC Junior Rotax B Final at Warden Law, setting the fastest lap in 56.450 seconds and earning progression to the A Final.
In 2026, I also earned three WMKC Top Novice Cups, recognising the progress I’ve made during my early years in competitive karting.

About me

Every result matters to me, but I’m just as focused on what I can learn from each weekend. Karting has taught me to stay determined when things don’t go to plan, remain focused under pressure and keep working towards my goals.
Â
More Than Just Racing
Â
Away from the circuit, I’m always looking for ways to develop new skills and help fund my racing ambitions. That’s why I created Apex29, my own brand, which brings together my passion for motorsport, design and clothing.
Â
Building Apex29 has given me the opportunity to explore the business side of racing, from developing designs and products to promoting the brand and connecting with customers. It has also taught me that achieving a goal takes more than having an idea. It requires creativity, commitment, hard work and the determination to keep going when things get difficult.
Â
I’m also the author of Karting Mysteries: The Leonardo Files, a mystery book series inspired by my life and passion for karting. Like Apex29, the books are part of my effort to turn my interests into something meaningful while helping support my racing journey. Money raised through book sales goes towards funding my progression in motorsport.
Â
Looking Ahead
Â
My goal is to continue developing as a driver, compete at increasingly competitive levels and work towards racing internationally. I know there is a lot more to learn, but I’m prepared to put in the effort and make the most of every opportunity.
I’m proud of how far I’ve come in two years, but I see this as the beginning of my journey. I want to keep improving, challenge myself against stronger competition and show what can be achieved through hard work, ambition and a willingness to learn.
Thank you to everyone who follows my journey and supports what I’m trying to achieve. Every bit of support helps me take the next step towards my dream.
